Meet Dr. Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed is a board-certified rheumatologist who has proudly served her CSRA community for over 20 years.

 

Dr. Naveeda Ahmed is board certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine, and she has been serving the CSRA community for over 20 years.

She completed both her Internal Medicine Residency & Rheumatology Fellowship at the renowned Medical College of Georgia, and she has deep roots in the local medical community. She is also certified in Clinical Densitometry, which allows her to interpret and manage DEXA / DXA bone densitometry, a key diagnostic tool in identifying and treating osteoporosis. The scans are normally conducted at the Augusta University Imaging Center.

Providing best-in-class patient care is Dr. Ahmed’s top priority. She is a strong patient advocate, driven by a desire to solve complex rheumatological problems for her patients. In addition to leveraging decades of experience to find the best solutions for her patients, she stays on top of the latest research and developments in her field to ensure that she is serving her patients with the best care possible.

Dr. Ahmed is a member of ACR, GSR, MAG, APPNA & RCMS. She also highly values spending time in philanthropic efforts, participating in Project Access to provide free care for indigent patients in Richmond County and Columbia County and helping to conduct free clinics locally. In her free time, Dr. Ahmed enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
